Focusing on being Thankful to God for the Gift of Mandy for the 17 years we had her!

I started the Kindness Revolution to honor my daughter Amanda (Mandy) Edwards who was killed in a car accident in November of 2008.

Mandy was an amazing young woman that could light up a room with her smile, had a very kind heart.  She always went out of her way to include others and make people feel welcome.

She left instructions "Do for Me Now What I Cannot", So with her in mind I try to SMILE, BE KIND (even when I don't feel like it), Make People Feel Special and do what I can to help benefit Education in Africa and Breast Cancer projects.

To My Sweet Mandy,
This song speaks to my heart...
The
Heartache of loosing you sure did take me by surprise - But
No Matter What ~ I love you
No Matter What ~ I will always need you to love me.
No matter What ~ I know that God has a plan and a purpose.
No Matter What ~ I will work to make your dreams come true.
No Matter What ~ I hope I make you and Amber proud of me.
No Matter What ~ I will remember what you said and CELEBRATE your life
Love Mom

I focus on being thankful for the GIFT God gave me of allowing me to have Mandy in my life for the 17 years, instead of the fact that she is no longer here - by keeping her spirit and dreams alive and using her story and dreams to inspire others to become the best people they can. (I also am so Thankful for my Wonderful Daughter Amber who was a great big sister and for Parrish my husband for being the rock I have leaned on through-out this time)

In addition to spreading kindness here - We have found a nonprofit orga nization that sends teachers to Africa and also brings African Students to the US.  We have teamed up with them and THIS YEAR our first "Mandy" representative to Africa was Katie Burke.  You can read more about Katie and  the Teach with Africa Project at
www.teachwithafrica.org . Teach with Africa was incorporated as a California not-for-profit corporation on December 7, 2007. Teach with Africa has federal tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All charitable contributions to Teach with Africa made after December 7, 2007 are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Teach with Africa's tax ID number is 26-1649233.  *Katie Burke was already heading to Africa as a Fellow through TWA on her own accord, we simply donated funds to this venture to assist her. The mention of her on this website should not in any way indicate that The Kindness Revolution is responsible for or associated with any of the work she did or websites she created while in Africa.  It also does not imply Katie's support and/or views of The Kindness Revolution or it's mission.

I am very lucky that Mandy knew her destination was heaven, she had an amazing faith.  It was a comfort to know she had no doubts about that.  Just three weeks before her accident she (at 17) had a discussion with me about exactly what she wanted for a service when her time finally came (of course at the time I thought we were talking at least 50 years in the future)- it was a blessing to know I was giving her what she wanted and it is heartwarming to know I am continuing to do what she wanted me to.

Have a wonderful day!  So glad you have stopped by to see our website.  Please know you are important in God's plan and you are making a difference!

Today I am blessed - I am Rich beyond measure with the things that count!  I praise and thank God for the gifts He gives.  I thank all my friends and family for their wonderful support!
